Abstract

Camera calibration is known to be a difficult problem, mainly because the quantities to be identified vary over several orders of magnitude and affect the accuracy of the result in different ways. Various approaches have been proposed in the literature, e.g., the Tsai approach [1] or the Zhang algorithm [2], but although they differ significantly, they all rely on the pinhole camera model. The calibration of a telecentric lens is worth attention because it implies a different procedure for the design of the optics itself. In this article, we propose a solution for telecentric lens calibration.
