Abstract

This chapter investigates how the European institutions’ communica tion has faced the Covid-19 pandemic, focusing on policies, strategies, and interventions for counteracting disinformation and the spread of problematic messages that could harm citizens and weaken democracy. Indeed, timely and accurate information, alongside the opportunity for citizen participation and feedback, are essential elements of the democratic policy-making process.
