Abstract

In this work, the behavior of Ultrawide band (UWB) wearable antennas in terms of robustness to the human body proximity is numerically investigated, aiming to improve this robustness. It will be shown that this robustness can be related with the electric energy density distribution in the near field region around the antenna, similarly with the case of narrowband wearable antennas. The simulations have been performed using CST Microwave Studio, a commercial general-purpose software for the electromagnetic simulation of three-dimensional high-frequency components.
