Abstract

From Mazzini to Mozzoni: women’s issue in Italian institutions between «thought and action». Following Mazzini’s embryonic claims for the social, legal and political equality of women and men, Anna Maria Mozzoni was able both to develop a feminist theory – whose assumptions have kept their argumentative force intact overtime – and to promote petitions, associations and demonstrations to stimulate institutions and society to concretize the sexual equality she argued in theory.
