Abstract
Recently, an increasing number of people has been interested in golf. A part of them usually moves around the world looking for new challenging courses to play. This entails important consequences on the international tourist travel. Moreover, the issue of building and managing courses has been internationally debated, particularly with reference to the environmental impact of golf activities. The most critical topics concern the use of water, weed killers, drugs for plants and wildlife protection. Sardinia is a historical leisure destination, thanks to its geographical and climatic position, and it could gain important economic benefits from the development of golf activities. Obviously, provided that everything is done sustaining its specific environmental, cultural and historical features.File | Size | Format | |
