Abstract

The north-western slope of the so-called Colle di Tanit, subject of investigation by the University of Cagliari from 2013, is an important context for the definition of the urban phases of Nora between the second century B.C. and the first centuries of the empire. It is an area that was probably used as a residential-craftsman’s home, but with important traces of cultic activity, linked with the district located on the south-western slopes of the hill and called “Kasbah”. Through an analysis of the stratigraphic contexts of this recently investigated area, an attempt will be made to outline the main aspects of the late republi-can and early imperial phases of the area, in relation to the contemporary situations of the city of Nora.
