Abstract

The scientific and academic work of Ernesto Monaci has built and drawn the direction of the linguistic and philological studies about Central Italy and Rome, in the particular position it represents in the area, at the first time by publishing texts, and secondary by drawing the coordinates of the history of the language and the history of the texts.

L’opera scientifica e accademica di Ernesto Monaci ha impostato e segnato la direzione degli studi linguistici e filologici relativi all’Italia mediana e a Roma, nella particolare posizione che ricopre all’interno dell’area, dapprima affrontando la pubblicazione dei testi, e successivamente delineando le coordinate della storia della lingua e della storia dei testi.
