Abstract
The chapter describes the cognitive processes involved in language comprehension. The theoretical background is the cognitive science perspective. The aim of the work is to examine possible ways to bridge the gap between theory and practice in semantics. We claim that a necessary condition is take into account real and raw data in linguistic analysis.
