Abstract

Through sixteen autobiographical chapters written by as many distinguished scholars in the field of planning theory and practice, Beatrix Haselsberger in her book “Encounters in Planning Thought” accompanies the reader in a fascinating journey that unfolds how planning, as a discipline, has evolved in the last 70 years. Following Haselsberger’s recommendations, it is worth providing the reader with some conceptual focal points (among many) that, in our opinion, could be effective narratives in order to maximize theoretical and technical learning from the proposed encounters in planning thought.
