Abstract
m the point of view of architectural production, full of qualitatively relevant episodes. Starting from the cruciform churches, such as San Saturnino in Cagliari, Sant’Antioco in the homonymous city and San Giovanni di Sinis in Cabras, to move to smaller monuments, the panorama is dense and diversified in the planivolumetric types, in the techniques constructive, in periodization. The first part of this contribution will review, through some of the key monuments of the early Middle Ages, the main critical positions on the topic starting from the studies of Dionigi Scano and Raffaello Delogu. The second part will analyze a monument of particular interest in the framework of the Middle Ages in Sardinia, Santa Maria Iscalas in Cossoine, with particular attention to the paintings preserved in it.File | Size | Format | |
