Abstract

Although Plautus is explicitly mentioned in the dedication to Bartolomeo Roverella, there are only a few references to palliata and to ancient theater in the Epygrammata of Enea Silvio Piccolomini; such references, however, offer an opportunity to a re-reading of some epigrams (I-III, XIII, XV, XXV, XXXIII, XL, LIV Van Heck).
