I greci di Heidegger "iuxta propria principia". Omaggio a Franco Volpi

Abstract

The essay is dedicated to Franco Volpi’s (1952-2009) work on Heidegger’s interpretation of the Greeks. In response to the ‘scandal’ of Heidegger's hermeneutic ‘violence’, Volpi neither abandoned the habitus of the historian and the philologist, nor renounced the difficulty intrinsic to the attempt to access historiographically an object understood to elude historical consideration. Volpi taught us to consider Heidegger’s interpretations not as “hermeneutical actualizations” in Gadamer’s sense, but as “disactualizations” of ancient texts, intended to access that which remained problematic within them, so to transform them into tasks for thought.

Il saggio è dedicato agli studi di Franco Volpi (1952-2009) sui Greci di Martin Heidegger. Allo ‘scandalo’ della ‘violenza’ ermeneutica heideggeriana, Volpi reagisce non deponendo mai l’habitus dello storico e del filologo, né mai rinunciando, però, a confrontarsi con la difficoltà insita nel tentativo di accedere storiograficamente ad un oggetto che intende programmaticamente sottrarsi allo sguardo storiografico. Volpi ha insegnato a considerare l’interpretatio heideggeriana, non già come una “attualizzazione ermeneutica” á la Gadamer, ma come una “disattualizzazione” del testo antico, intesa ad accedere a quel che vi è rimasto problematico, per trasformarlo, così, in un compito per il pensiero.
