Abstract

This article intends to deal with the question of the relation between the ius vitae ac necis and the ius occidendi granted by the lex Iulia de adulteriis to the father towards the daughter. Ius occidendi which seems a different power, based not only on the patria potestas, especially during the centuries following the issuing of the lex.
