Abstract

Questo lavoro propone un’interpretazione del quartiere Castello a Cagliari, nella sua forma attuale e nelle sue trasformazioni temporali, volta a individuare gli elementi chiave sui quali fondare una strategia capace di proporre un sistema di luoghi che esprima al meglio i valori storico-culturali in una nuova geografia d’usi atta a rispondere in modo efficace alle esigenze della vita contemporanea: il quartiere storico come nuova risorsa urbana. This work interprets the historical district of Castello in the city of Cagliari. A comparison between its contemporary form and its transformations over time aims at defining the key elements of a strategy for expressing its historical and cultural values in a perspective of a new geography of urban uses: the historical district as a new urban resource.
