Abstract
The present study focuses on the professional activity of the notary Leonardus filius condam magistri Ianni Romani, active in Cagliari between 1294 and 1345: a period during which the Catalans conquered Sardinia. His activity is divided into two distinct phases: the first, 1294- 1323, with 8 documents, written in Castel di Castro, using the title of «imperiali auctoritate iudex ordinarius atque notarius»; the second phase, 1339-1345, with 7 documents, written in Castell de Càller and Stampace, using the title of «autoritate excellentissimi domini regis Aragonum per totum Sardinee et Corsice regnum notarius publicus», which marks the new investiture of the Aragonese king.File | Size | Format | |
