Andrea Floris (S’17) received the bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and the master’s degree in energy engineering from the University of Cagliari, Italy, in 2012 and 2015, respectively. In 2020 he received the Ph.D degree in electronic and computer engineering at the same university. Dr. Floris is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the same university. He is co-author of 14 papers published in international conference proceedings and journals. His research activity regards the design of high-speed electrical machines, flywheel energy storage systems and magnetic gear transmission systems for 
electric vehicles. He received an IEEE Best Poster Presentation Award
