Researcher and Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture, University of Cagliari, he worked on several research and cooperation projects on the history and preservation of architecture, cities and landscape: Architecture, art and urban places of historical aqueducts, springs and fountains in the towns and cities of Sardinia between the Middle Ages and Modernity (Regione Autonoma della Sardegna L.R. 7/2007); The Renaissance in Southern Italy and in the Islands. Cultural Heritage and Technology (PRIN 2017); ETIC - Einstein Telescope Infrastructure Consortium (PNRR 2022); The role of confraternities in institutional, urban and architecture planning (1400-1700) (PRIN 2022); Punish, amend, reintegrate. Penal institutions between penal science, prison law, prison administration, economic management, medical and medico-legal treatment and architecture (PRIN 2022).

Since 2015 he collaborates with the Chair of History of Architecture, University of Cagliari. Since 2021 he is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Architecture, University of Cagliari in the Master's degree and PhD courses. I was also a guest lecturer at the University of Alicante, Spain (ERASMUS+ MOSTA), at the University of Hertfordshire (Hatfield), England (MGR 2022) and at the University of Poznan, Poland (ERASMUS+ MOSTA).

His research work mainly focuses on architecture and landscapes between the 19th and 20th century. He is author of several publications, including “Bridges, roads and public works. Giovanni Antonio Carbonazzi (1792-1873) engineer in the Kingdom of Sardinia” (Steinhäuser Verlag, 2020).

He participates in international scientific conferences and he has carried out traineeships at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura in Valladolid (Spain) and at the Art Institute of the University of Wroclaw (Poland). He is an expert in ICAR / 18 (History of Architecture) and a member of the History of the City Association and the AISTARCH Association.
