Angelo Frongia was born in Cagliari (Italy) in 1973. He graduated (1997) and received his PhD degree in Organic Chemistry (2005) from the University of Cagliari under the supervision of Prof. P. P. Piras. Following collaborative post-doctoral research in the group of Prof. D. J. Aitken in the ICMMO (2009), University Paris Sud (Orsay), he joined the academic staff at the University of Cagliari in 2010. He is currently Ricercatore of Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences (Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche e Geologiche). His research interests include asymmetric synthesis and development of new synthetic methods based on transformation of strained organic compounds.
