Ginevra Balletto (Roma, 1971)

She graduated from Cagliari in 1996 and held the PhD in “Territorial Planning Elements in Excavating Areas”, positively supporting the examination in 2001. Since 2002 she has been working with the Department of Geoengineering and Environmental Technologies (currently in DICCAR ) As a researcher in the disciplinary field Ing-ind 28. From the academic year 2005-2006 to 2009-2010 he has been teaching at the “Urban and Territorial Policies” at the Faculty of Engineering in Cagliari. In the same faculty from 2012-13, he has been doing didactic activities for the integrated course of geo-resource planning. Her research activity is focused on the upgrading of degraded industrial sites, in particular mining sites, by publishing results in industry magazines and participating in numerous national and international conferences. He collaborates with some Local Authorities for the implementation of the scientific results related to the context of the Sardinia Region.Currently she is actively working with the International Convention on Valorization of Industrial Heritage (UNI-SEK), UNI-CENTRAL (Universidad Central de Chile) for the development of research projects on degraded sites . She participates in the Ghost project – The project Governing the Smart City: a gOvernance-centered approach to SmarT urbanism – GHOST (Project code: RBSI14FDPF; CUP Code: F22I15000070008) is supported by the MIUR (Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research) It is financed with the SIR program (http://sites.unica.it/ghost/home/)
