Alessandra Camedda is Associate Professor of Economic Law at the Department of Law, University of Cagliari, where she teaches Supplementary Pension Law, Economic Law and Procurement Law in the Bachelor of Science in Legal Services.

On March 14, 2025, she was unanimously obtained the National Scientific Qualification for the role of Full Professor (First Tier) for the Disciplinary Field 12/E3 “Economics, Financial and Agri-Food Markets Law and Regulation, Navigation and Air Law” - SSD IUS/05.

She is the author of two monographs ("I contratti di assicurazione della previdenza complementare. Nel diritto interno e nella prospettiva comparatistica", ESI, 2018; and "Gli obblighi precontrattuali nel mercato assicurativo: caratteri e rimedi", Giappichelli, 2024) and several other publications in leading scientific journals and collected works issues mainly focused on insurance and pension issues.

She is a member of the research unit of the University of Cagliari - Department of Law for the PRIN 2022 project “Towards a European model of civil liability? The role of risk in prevention rules, imputation criteria and damages allocation techniques” and also for the START UP research project “Regulatory tools for combating gender discrimination”. She has also been involved in the research project “Complementary pension and supplementary healthcare. A model of integrated welfare”.

She is Vice-President of the International Insurance Law Association - Sardinia Section and a corresponding member of the ADDE (Association of Economics Law Professors).

She is a member of the board of the PhD program in "Legal Sciences" at the University of Cagliari and she also a member of editorial and evaluation committees of several scientific journals, including Banca, Borsa e titoli di credito, Responsabilità civile e previdenza, Rivista di diritto bancario, Diritto del mercato assicurativo e finanziario, Giustiziacivile.com, Rivista giuridica Sarda, Studi economico-giuridici.

She is on the special list of university professors of the Bar Association of Cagliari.

Education, University Career, and Previous Positions

She graduated in Law with honors from the University of Cagliari, discussing a thesis titled "The Circulation of Insurance Guarantees" under the supervision of Prof. Paoloefisio Corrias. She has been a teaching assistant in Insurance Law, Financial Markets Law, Economic Law and Private Law Institutions.
In 2016, she earned a Ph.D. in "Consumers and Market" from the University of Roma Tre, Department of Business Studies, with a thesis titled "Insurance Contracts for Complementary Pension Schemes."


On October 9, 2018, she was unanimously obtained the National Scientific Qualification for the role of Associate Professor (Second Tier) for the Disciplinary Field 12/E3 “Economics, Financial and Agri-Food Markets Law and Regulation, Navigation and Air Law” - SSD IUS/05.


From December 28, 2018, to September 30, 2021, she was a Fixed-term Full-time Researcher in Economic Law under Art. 24, paragraph 3, letter a) of Law No. 240/2010.

 

From October 1, 2021, to September 30, 2024, a Fixed-term Full-time Researcher in Economic Law under Art. 24, paragraph 3, letter b) of Law No. 240/2010, at the Department of Law of the University of Cagliari.
