The digital proficiency of doctoral candidates is deemed instrumental to the specific legal research activities they undertake. To achieve this goal, a two-pronged approach will be adopted. Firstly, Doctoral supervisors shall ensure the transmission of their expertise and knowledge in relevant computational and digital matters. Secondly, Doctoral candidates shall be admitted to attend the lectures of the course on Legal Informatics and Methodology for Source Research (Informatica giuridica e metodologia di ricerca delle fonti), which is activated at the University's School of Specialization for Legal Professions (Scuola di Specializzazione per le Professioni Legali dell’Ateneo).
