The final examination consists of the thesis defense, conducted in front of a committee appointed by the Academic Board, in accordance with Article 14 of the University PhD Regulation.
Instructions for Accessing the PICA Online Procedure
Each year, the PhD and Master's Office will share the relevant deadlines with Coordinator and PhD Academic Board.
These include deadlines for:
-the nomination of external reviewers,
-admission to the final exams,
-and thesis upload.

The application for admission to the PhD programs at the University of Cagliari must be submitted through the online procedure called “PICA – Integrated University Competition Platform.”
Applications sent by email, certified email (PEC), or regular mail will not be considered.
