With the support of the University Language Centre (CLA), doctoral students are required to achieve C1 proficiency in English within three years.

This level is considered attained only if certified either by the CLA itself or by one of the institutions listed in the Italian Ministry of Education decree (D.G.A. MIUR) dated July 12, 2012, protocol no. AOODGAI/10899.
