The project "BBO Book Batch One. Solutions for the configuration and efficient production of publishing products
personalized with high added value" aims to develop a system capable of allowing the design, production and digital and physical realization of personalized editorial products, both in terms of content (personalization of knowledge) and in material terms (personalization of the layout, of the methods of use, of the physical 3D format of the book volume). In particular, the project involves the development of innovative models for the personalization of both content and form of books, which will be implemented in a Personal Book Editor web solution equipped with semantic functionality (for content purposes) and design functionality for printing purposes). The BBO project aims to introduce innovations in the book and periodical publishing sector, which will allow the design, configuration and creation of digital and physical editorial products of a customized type, therefore intended for small or very small scale production, or even of an individual type i.e. batch one. The project's final objective is the creation of a methodology and a software application suite capable of supporting the entire chain of personalized production of editorial works.
