Final test

The final graduation examination consists of the discussion, held in public session, of an exclusively experimental thesis making an original contribution, prepared under the guidance of a faculty member of the CdLM acting as the supervisor.

To be admitted to the final graduation examination, the student must have acquired all the CFUs enlisted in his/her study plan minus the CFUs attributed to the final examination.

The objective of the final graduation examination is to test the student's ability to work independently and to communicate and discuss with clarity and mastery the results of an original project of an experimental nature. The written report, called the final paper, must be written in English, and must describe the results of the multidisciplinary experimental investigations carried out by the student on topics of biotechnological interest.

The presentation should include contextualization of the work done, an adequate overview of the scientific problems addressed and the state of the art, a description of the materials and/or methods used, the results obtained and the future prospects of the work, and should have the typical form of a complete scientific paper also in terms of general organization (Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Bibliography, Tables and Figures).

See the Student Secretariat's website for guidance on the timeline for submitting the degree application.
