COURSE DESCRIPTION: English for Administration is a practice-oriented course designed to strengthen written and spoken English skills in professional and administrative contexts. The course focuses on the language and communication strategies needed to interact confidently with the public, collaborate with international colleagues, manage telephone calls and meetings, and produce clear and professional emails, reports, forms, and other administrative documents. Through real-life scenarios, role-plays, listening activities, authentic materials, and guided writing tasks, participants will develop practical skills that can be immediately applied in the workplace. Particular attention will be given to formal and informal registers, administrative vocabulary, cross-cultural communication, and the use of diplomatic and appropriate language in international settings. The course is organised into five modules covering professional introductions and workplace etiquette, front-desk and public interaction, internal communication, cross-cultural communication, and document handling. Participants who attend at least 80% of the course and successfully complete the continuous assessment activities will receive a certificate of attendance and an Open Badge.
