Piani per l'Orientamento e il Tutorato (POT)

Orientation and Tutoring Plans (POT)

The Orientation and Tutoring Plans (POT), established by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) in 2017, promote orientation and tutoring activities to support students in making informed choices regarding their academic pathways.

POT initiatives include an initial area of intervention focused on orientation programs carried out by universities in collaboration with schools, aimed at helping students make conscious decisions about their degree courses. These initiatives are designed to:

- facilitate **self-assessment activities** for high school students, helping them evaluate their readiness for university studies and increasing their awareness of personal knowledge and skills relevant to the academic choices;
- provide **science subject teachers** with professional development opportunities by actively involving them in the design and implementation of activities carried out in collaboration with the university.

Thematic and outreach seminars on architecture, held either at schools or at the university
