The Bachelor’s degree in Geology is NOT a limited enrolment course.

In order to enrol in this course it is necessary to be have obtained an upper secondary school diploma (or another qualification obtained abroad and recognised as equivalent) and to have taken the entrance test.

The test is valid country-wide and it is organised online (CISIA online test, TOLC-S), in two different formats:

- at dedicated university computer classrooms (TOLC at the University), accredited by CISIA, where a committee carries out the ID verification of each one of the participants and then supervise them during the test;

- at each participant's home (TOLC@CASA) through a system of virtual classrooms, where the committees carry out the ID verification of each one of the participants and then supervise them remotely during the test, under the responsibility and coordination of each university.

The test is organised in multiple sessions which are scheduled throughout the March-September period.  This test may be taken again in the same period, if the candidate fails to pass the threshold for “Enrolment without educational deficit (Immatricolazione senza debiti formativi)”. The results of the TOLC-S valid for all participating venues regardless of the one in which it was taken, at least for the calendar year in which it was take. Participants must register for the TOLC-S test according to the procedures on the portal www.cisiaonline.it.

The test consists of several sections: Basic Mathematics, Reasoning and Problems, Text Comprehension, Basic Science, and English. To be able to enrol without educational deficit, you must score a minimum of 8/20 in the questions relating to the Basic Mathematics section. In our Geology course educational deficit ends when students pass Mathematics test.
