Final examination

The Final Examination consists of the discussion of a thesis, resulting from an experimental or compilative activity on topics related to the contents of the Degree Course, to be developed under the guidance of a professor.

Students who intend to prepare their degree thesis in a specific facility must submit a formal request to the professor (supervisor) with whom they intend to prepare it, accompanied by their curriculum vitae (list of exams taken and grades obtained in each of them, list of optional activities followed, internships in laboratories or clinics or any other activity carried out for training purposes). The supervisor, after consulting with the lecturers affiliated with the same facility and verifying the availability of places, accepts the request and is responsible for monitoring and certifying the activities carried out by the student at the facility. The preparation of the degree thesis may also be carried out in facilities in other countries, in agreement with the supervisor.

The thesis may be written in English; however, the discussion must take place in Italian.

In order to be admitted to the final exam, students must have already acquired all the credits, except those relating to the final exam itself, as detailed in the course prospectus.

The rules and procedures for admission to the degree exam can be consulted on the dedicated web page of the Student Secretariat.

As a rule, the degree programme ensures at least three degree exam sessions throughout the year.
