The Jean Monnet Centre for Sustainability Studies in the Med Area (CeSSMed) is a project funded by the Jean Monnet - Centre of Excellence programme.

The objectives are:

To strengthen the knowledge of students and professionals on EU-related topics.

To improve the communication and dissemination of EU sustainability policies in order to strengthen the dialogue between academia and public decision-makers.

To strengthen a network of organizations and people actively involved in EU sustainability policies.

The centre organizes three Summer Schools on sustainability, one for each year of the project. The project, which started in 2022, has a duration of three years.
