The 7th National Conference of the Italian Scientific Society of Sociology, Culture, and Communication (SISCC) will be held in Cagliari from June 18 to 20.
The theme of the three-day event is crises and emergencies in contemporary society. Central to the discussion will be the concept of time and the pervasive sense of urgency that defines the present era. The conference will explore how the acceleration of life’s pace and the proliferation of emergencies are reshaping key aspects of education, communication, and everyday life.
The conference will take place at the Department of Political and Social Sciences (Sant’Ignazio Campus), and around 300 communication experts from across Italy are expected to attend.
Following the institutional greetings by Elisabetta Gola, Vice Rector for Communication, and Marco Pitzalis, Director of the Department of Political and Social Sciences, the opening speeches will be delivered by Sara Bentivegna from Sapienza University of Rome and Giovanni Boccia Artieri from the University of Urbino.
