Abstract
In this article, I reflect on the New Italians (the so-called “second generation” of immigrants in Italy); I try to react to their subalternity and marginalization conditions in the public space through the use of the TikTok social network. To do this, I will deal with the notions of subalternity and social network ethnography from a methodolo- gical point of view. These notions will provide a framework for analyzing some audio- visual productions made by New Italians. In the end, I will try to answer the following question: how do New Italians use Tiktok to reshape their position in the Italian public space and, at the same time, produce a Transcultural communication space? Keywords: New Italians, migration, social network ethnographie, TikTok.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
