Abstract
There is no doubt that technologies are at the center of relevant innovative processes concerning, first of all, the setting itself of education. But if we move our attention from the general scenario to the effects on academic learning, then available data converge upon the conclusion that technologies, taken as a whole, have failed. Starting from this point, in this work, the authors propose a taxonomy of potentially interesting technology-enhanced situations, from an educational point of view, in contrast with the rhetorical debate about the technologies in schools and the expectations they raise for the improvement of learning. Therefore, they propose to go beyond evidence-based data, in order to develop a more realistic awareness of technologies for learning and to support informed-decisions in schools, by identifying clear objectives, adopting targeted technologies and accountable practices.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
