Project VITA

The Advanced AI-powered methods for optimal personalized treatment of VentrIcular TAchycardias project (VITA) aims to develop innovative and effective software tools for the elctroanatomic mapping and personalized catheter-based treatment of post-ischemic ventricular tachycardia. It also seeks to identify new clinical indices useful for building predictive models of procedural outcomes, which are currently burdened by a high recurrence rate.
The proposal is part of the broader field of personalized medicine for cardiovascular diseases and includes the development of a software prototype based on advanced signal processing techniques and artificial intelligence. This tool will be capable of generating new electro-anatomical maps to enable more targeted and optimized arrhythmia treatment, with the long-term goal of integrating it as a plug-in within commercially available systems currently used in clinical practice.
