Abstract
The contribution concerns the right to decent work of peasants and other people employing in rural areas, on the assumption that the United Nations Declaration of 17 December 2018 on their rights does not expressly provide for it. Therefore, the Author focuses, first of all, on the scant rule on the matter contained in the art. 4, paragraph 1, letter i, of the UNDROP and on the literal meaning of the expression 'decent work'. Subsequently, she analyses the ILO and UN regulations on the matter, to then verify whether and, if necessary, in what terms it is applicable to peasants and other people employing in rural areas. Finally, she focuses on the fact that the right to decent work is functional not only to satisfying the needs of emancipation from the state of subor-dination of peasants and other people employing in rural areas with respect to the contractual counterpart, but also to its realization as an objective and driving force for their sustainable development.File | Size | Format | |
