BUKIES, GUDRUN
2004-01-01
Abstract
The contribution covers the main moments of the German economy from the 19th century to the early 2000s. It illustrates the most significant data, the main German industrial sectors, the labour market and the financial and banking system, from the beginning of industrialisation to the end of the Second World War, with the emergence of two opposing economic systems, namely the planned economy in East Germany and the social market economy in West Germany, and finally the industrialised regions of the reunited Germany.File | Size | Format | |
