Analogico vs digitale. Riflessioni sulla didattica a distanza in architettura

Abstract
In this essay, the words analog and digital are taken as a reference for a reflection on the contemporary conditions of teaching architectural design, highlighting the dichotomy that has occurred in contemporary culture between two different ways of expressing the processes of interaction and interpretation of reality. The particular condition of "confinement" and the impossibility of carrying out the design workshops in the presence, in fact, have brought out the substantial differences between direct and indirect teaching and the difficult transformation of the tools for teaching architecture towards a new technology of the forms of knowledge transfer. All this has produced an evident discomfort which must, however, be understood as a re-founding and clarification moment on architecture education, on the values of direct experience and on the quality of learning in a physically defined context in which continuous interaction between teachers and students is connoted as the substance of the transmission of a complex culture such as that of the architectural project.File | Size | Format | |
