Abstract
The organizational model of the Venice Biennale, today a global brand in the art world, was set up in the late 19th century and consolidated in the 20th century. It was guided by strategy that sought to convey to the increasing flow of tourists in modern society new forms and enhanced presentations of contemporary art. The paper reconstructs the planning of the post-war relaunch of the International Festival of Contemporary Music (1946-51), which is of relevance to subsequent editions of the Music section.File | Size | Format | |
