Abstract
Globalization is a decisive opportunity for great monotheistic religions: in fact, it favors their spreading and expansion. However, today's globalization manifests itself in a totally new way with respect to the past processes. In particular, among the elements of discontinuity, the powerful engine of consumption and its languages stands out. The essay we propose tries to highlight some problematic points concerning the process of encounter-clash of the great monotheistic religions (Judaism, Catholicism, Protestantism and Islam) with respect to the consumerist turn, and to establish which of them are pushing to redefine its founding statute and which are limited to simply exploiting their intrinsic characteristics in a different way in order to surviveFile | Size | Format | |
