Abstract
Energy Storage Systems increase flexibility in smart distribution networks by providing several services to the Distribution System Operators (DSOs). The new role explicitly attributed to DSOs by the European Commission legislative proposals (Clean Energy Package) and then by the national regulations drives the researches about the assessment of economic efficiency of installing DSO-managed energy storages. The paper describes a cost-benefit analysis for energy storages systems owned and managed by DSOs. Both medium and low voltage distribution networks have been taken into account and the final results are easily generalizable.File | Size | Format | |
