Abstract
Introduction: The rapid identification of the bacteria in blood samples is crucial for the patient management and for a good performance in antimicrobial therapy. Here we report the evaluation of a new DNA microarray procedure for the identification of pathogens causing bloodstream infections, it based on automated platform with multiplex capabilities that rapidly and accurately detect infectious pathogens and drug resistance markers without relying on time-consuming culture methods. This system is very fast to produce bacterial identification and drug susceptibility pathogen profile, in fact it provide results in 3 hours on 2-3 days in conventional microbiological approach.Items in DSpace are protected by copyright, with all rights reserved, unless otherwise indicated.
