Abstract

The Christianization of Sardinia took place in a time span between the 4th and 6th centuries AD. The epigraphic texts give us testimonies of the faithful and describe the ecclesiastical hierarchy of Sardinia in the first centuries. The article presents the most important epigraphs for a historical description of the phenomenon.

La cristianizzazione della Sardegna avvenne in un arco temporale collocabile tra il IV e il VI secolo d.C. I testi epigrafici ci danno testimonianza dei fedeli e ci descrivono la gerarchia ecclesiastica della Sardegna nei primi secoli. Nell'articolo vengono presentati i testi epigrafici più importanti ai fini di una descrizione storica del fenomeno.
