Abstract
Reactivity of Lawesson's reagent was investigated by synthesizing 4-methoxyphenylphosphonic acid, obtained as a by-product from the reaction of the reagent with methyl iodide. The structures of the compounds were rationalized in terms of their significant intermolecular interactions. Hydrogen bonds of type P-O-H·O = P linked molecules into helical chains and formed ten-membered hydrogen-bonded rings.Items in DSpace are protected by copyright, with all rights reserved, unless otherwise indicated.
