Danilo Dessì is a researcher at the University of Cagliari. He holds a Master and a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Cagliari. Danilo Dessì was academic tutor from 2015 to 2019 of the exxam called Computer Architecture in the Bachelor Degree course in Computer Science at the University of Cagliari. From the academic year 2021-2022, he is professor of the same course in the Bachelor Degree in Applied Informatics and Data Analytics (IADA).

In the year 2016 he started his research work at the Data Science Department of the Philips Research in Eindhoven.

In years 2017,2018,and 2019, he weo several grants to complete his studies in research centers such as the New York University (USA), the University of Paris 13 (France), and the Knowledge Media Institute (UK).

From January 2020 to November 2021, he was post-doctoral researcher in Germany at the research instituion called FIZ-Karlsruhe.

His research activities involve machine learning, knowledge graphs, semantic web, and their application in a variety of domains. Danilo Dessì is co-creator of the Artificial Intelligence Knowledge Graph (http://scholkg.kmi.open.ac.uk/) which describes more than 800K research topics and their relations in AI.
